The force of the solar masculine contained within the feminine
The card which came to the fore this month is the Three of Wands from the Tabula Mundi deck. The fiery colours are really striking and immediately give that intuitive hit that we are dealing with the power of the sun and fire.

Like the solar fire above us, it can feel as if our own internal fire is flickering weakly. The fire which gives us our drive and motivation seems to be missing and it becomes a struggle to get started with anything.
In this deck, the card shows the force of the solar masculine contained within the feminine - allowing new growth to occur. Our seeds can sprout and a new cycle of creativity can begin. It is a metaphorical Spring.

It combines the energies of The Sun and The Emperor in the Major Arcana which gives an indication of the strength and positive force we are dealing with. When we stand strong in our own power, we have honour, dignity and courage. These qualities are just what is needed to be able to send those shoots out into the world. We are able to see the bigger picture and take action to achieve our aims. There is a desire to expand beyond our usual horizons and explore more of what the world has to offer. Often we only feel confident to do this when we have established our own strength and know what really drives us.
How do you feel when you look at this card? Does it feel comfortable or is it intimidating? How are you expressing your own power at the moment - is it flowing easily or do you feel blocked? Sometimes we can really feel that strong confidence which, combined with optimism, makes anything seems possible. Meditate with this image for a while and see what it sparks within you.
Another card came out to represent a shadow side - something which can perhaps stop us from acting on our strengths or show us where we may misdirect our power. It is The Decans of Aquarius - these are the cards of 5 of Swords, 6 of Swords and 7 of Swords. Here it is these difficult experiences which can sap our strength; being defeated, having to move on after a harsh experience or simply giving up because struggling on seems too difficult.
Our power saps away. In these circumstances it is good to do something which can reconnect you with your power, plug you back in and boot you back up. It could be meditation, healing, walking, gardening…whatever helps you regain your strength.
